Eva Bartlett

Eva Jean “Jeanie” Bartlett , age 88, of Sheboygan, WI, passed away on Thursday (October, 25,
2018) at Meadowview Health Services in Sheboygan where she was a resident for the past two
years.
She was born on April 17 th , 1930 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin a daughter of the late Charles and
Elizabeth (Jacquette) Spaeth.
Eva Jean attended St. Peter Claver Elementary School in Sheboygan and graduated from Central
High School in 1948.
She was married to Leroy Leary who had preceded her in death.
On June 2 nd , 1962 she married Raymond H. Bartlett at Zion Lutheran Church in Glenbeulah. The
couple had resided in the Town of Greenbush, Parnell, Plymouth, Sheboygan Falls, and
Sheboygan. Her husband preceded her in death on March 3, 2004. Eva Jean most recently lived at
the Covenant House in Sheboygan where she made many friends.
She worked for various Insurance Agencies in the area and retired from West Side Pantry in
Plymouth. Eva Jean and her late husband Ray owned and operated Ray and Jean’s Happy Kettles
Tavern for many years.
She enjoyed reading, playing cards and watching sports.
Survivors include: Four children: Ray A (Sandy) Bartlett of Sheboygan, James (Linda) Leary of
Arizona City, AZ, Michael (Janet) Leary of Arizona City, AZ, and Sherry McCormack of
Milwaukee; Many grandchildren and great grandchildren; Two sisters: Rose (Tom) Mikalowsky
of Sheboygan, and Linda (Dennis) Pangratz of Sturgeon Bay; and Sister-in-law: Rogene Bartlett
of Plymouth.
She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Brother: Martin (Theresa) Spaeth; and Brother-in-law:
William Bartlett.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday (Oct. 30, 2018) at 12:00 Noon at St. Paul’s Lutheran
Church in Cascade. Rev. Richard Bidinger, Pastor of the Church will officiate. Burial will be in
St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Cascade.
Visitation will take place at the CHURCH on Tuesday (Oct. 30) from 9:30 A.M. until time of
services.
A memorial fund is being established in Eva’s name.
