Margaret “Peggy” Kelch, age 89, of Sheboygan, went home to her Lord and Savior on November
8, 2018 at Aurora Sheboygan Medical Center.
She was born June 26, 1929 in Sheboygan to Herman and Pauline (Schumacher) Kelch. She
attended Trinity Lutheran Grade School and was a graduate of Sheboygan Central High School,
Class of 1947. She furthered her education at UW-Stout and Sheboygan Teacher’s College after
which she taught in a one-room schoolhouse in Cedar Grove.
Peggy worked at General Machinery for a time and at Hydraulic Tools for a number of years
before beginning employment in sales and marketing at Kohler Co., retiring after twenty-three
years.
Peggy’s faith and love of the Lord was of the utmost importance to her. She was a life-long,
active member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she sang in the church choir for more than
fifty years. She also served on the church council and altar guild and attended bible study
throughout the years.
Peggy thoroughly enjoyed golfing at area golf courses in summers and cross-country skiing in
winters at Kettle Moraine and Terry Andrae Park. She also loved to read.
She is survived by her three nieces, Sherry Berchem of Madison, Debbie (James Smith) Berchem
of Milwaukee, and Patti (Ted) Biesanz of Minnesota and Florida; her great-nephew, Trip
(Sophia) Biesanz of Chicago, IL and her great-nieces Rory and MolIy Biesanz of Chicago, IL and
great great-nephew Theo Biesanz. In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by
her sister and brother-in-law Lillian and Robert Berchem.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 11:30 AM at Ballhorn Chapels
Funeral & Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8 th St., Sheboygan with Pastor Timothy Mech
officiating. Entombment will take place at Lutheran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit
with the family on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the
FUNERAL HOME.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Peggy’s name.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Sunny Ridge for all their care and
comfort they gave to Peggy.
