Vivian J. Gale, 98, passed away peacefully surrounded by her
loving family Sunday January 20, 2019 at Morningside Health Center.
Vivian was born February 25, 1920 in Silver Creek, WI,
daughter of the late Herbert and Phillomena (Minnie) Klug (nee Ehlenbeck). She
was the third of four Klug sisters. While growing up in Silver Creek she
enjoyed farm life and was a member of the local church Ladies Aid and choir,
where she sang alto. She especially loved the dances held in the community.
Vivian attended Random Lake High School, graduating in the
Class of 1937 as valedictorian. She worked for the Courthouse, Verifine Dairy,
and Gale Chevrolet as a bookkeeper following graduation.
In September 1957 she married Clarence Gale and they began
their life together living on the intercoastal waterway in Lighthouse Point,
Florida. They would travel north to
Wisconsin every summer and eventually purchased a second home in Sheboygan to
remain close to family and friends. Clarence preceded her in death in December
1973. While living in Florida most of the year, she was the ultimate hostess,
entertaining many family and friends in their beautiful home on the waterway.
She will always be remembered as a kind, gracious and generous woman who adored
her family and was adored by her family.
Vivian was a member of Fountain Park United Methodist Church
of Sheboygan. She enjoyed collecting
just about everything. She had a wonderful eye for interior design and would
find many treasures during flea market outings with her sisters. She was an
avid reader and loved collecting books.
She is survived by her sisters Evelyn Heinen and Marvel
Harrison both of Sheboygan. Her nieces and nephews, Russell (the late Diane)
