Ronald G. Strickland, age 75, passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at
St. Nicholas Hospital. He was born in Nebraska to the late Harold and Doris (Broughman) Strickland. He
graduated from Minot High School in 1964. Ron was drafted into the United States Army and proudly
served in the Vietnam War. He was employed at Wigwam Mills for 39 years and was an active union
member of the UTWA for many years.
On November 11, 1973, Ron married the love of his life, Lorraine “Sissy” Allee and together they raised a
beautiful family. Ron was a simple man, but enjoyed life to the fullest. Spending time with his family were
the best memories he could make. His quick wit and simple phrases will be missed by all who were lucky
enough to know him.
He enjoyed many activities including, golfing and bowling with friends, spending time at the Moose
Lodge, hunting up north with his brother Butch and grandsons, especially visiting his sister and brother in
Lake Park, MN catching walleyes.
Ron is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Sissy; children, Rhonda (Guy) Koepke, Melissa (Adam)
Shircel, Ron “Moose” (Tracy) Strickland Jr., Joe (Stacey) Strickland and Jim (Lisa Martinez) Strickland;
grandchildren, Amanda (Julio), Brittnie, Robert, Sean (Katie), Riley, Taylan, Eli, Hailey, Nolan, Charlie,
Jaxon, Mia, Emma, Landon and Judah; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Robbie Martin, Kitty
(Lawrence) Bullinger, Butch (Pat) Strickland, Lyle (Nancy) Strickland, Cheryl (Lee) Bolle, Marla
Lambourn, Kirby Sandvik, and Kim (Kathy) Sandvik; many other close family and friends further survive.
Along with his parents, Ron was preceded in death by two brothers, Ed (Barb) Strickland and Charles
Kutter.
A Funeral Service for Ron will take place on Monday, May 15
th at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral and
Cremation Care Center, 1201 N 8
th St. in Sheboygan with Pastor DuWayne Hanke officiating. Family will
greet visitors on Monday at the funeral home from 4:00 PM until the time of the service. Ron will be
inurned at Sunrise Memorial Garden.

Tao Lee, NP, at the VA Clinic in Cleveland for the wonderful care shown to Ron over the years.
