MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Los Angeles Dodgers used the long ball to beat the Brewers 6-2 in Milwaukee on Tuesday night.
Mookie Bets and Will Smith crushed solo homers while Miguel Vargas blasted a two-run shot in the sixth inning.
Eric Lauer took the loss after surrendering four runs, three earned, over three-plus innings.
Dodgers’ starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard lasted only one inning because of a cut on the index finger of his pitching hand. Syndergaard headed to the dugout after warming up before the bottom of the first inning and did not return.
Rowdy Tellez slugged his 10th homer of the season for Milwaukee, which dropped to 20-16.
The Brewers will try to win the series Wednesday afternoon. Wade Miley gets the start for the Crew opposite Clayton Kershaw.
