MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers avoided getting swept at home in their series against the Detroit Tigers after a 6-2 victory in Milwaukee on Wednesday afternoon.
Freddy Peralta got the win after surrendering two unearned runs on four hits while striking out eight batters. Victor Caratini crushed a two-run homer while Joey Wiemer also went deep.
Milwaukee improved to 16-9 and is second in the NL Central.
The Crew has Thursday off, then will open a three-game series against the Angels in Milwaukee on Friday night.
