WAUKESHA, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — Convicted Waukesha Christmas parade attacker Darrell Brooks will pay more to the victims of his crimes.
Judge Jennifer Dorow was concerned Brooks could someday sell his story.
“It’s I think a very real possibility that someone might produce something someday, for more of a commercial or theatrical type purpose, even if it’s a true crime type situation and that it’s possible that Mr. Brooks could profit from that.” Said Dorrow.
Dorow on Thursday decided Brooks – who’s serving six consecutive life sentences will pay $523,000 to victims and insurance companies. That includes roughly $171,000 in restitution and other court costs assigned at sentencing.
His new attorney, Michael Covey, told the court Brooks is unlikely to ever come into any money.
