It seems that bicycle lanes are appearing nearly everywhere as proponents of alternative transportation look for ways to make it easier to get out of a car and onto two wheels. Those lanes are just a part of making communities “Bicycle-Friendly”, and the City of Sheboygan is hoping that you will help boost its status in the biking world by responding to a short survey.
The League of American Bicyclists is conducting the survey to assess how we’re doing on making roads friendly and destinations attractive for those who chose people power over petroleum or electrically-powered vehicles. The survey is online and takes about 10 to 15 minutes to complete, covering questions about your bike use, barriers you find to biking and things that would encourage you to hop on the bike more often.
501 communities are now designated as bicycle-friendly by the League of American Bicyclists, including Sheboygan and Sheboygan County, which hold Bronze status. Your vote can help either maintain that status, or even boost it to Silver or Gold. They’re asking for your response before April 5th, and you can access that survey through this link.
