A car chase resulted in a crash and the death of the driver last evening. The incident began just before 8 p.m. Thursday when a Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office Deputy saw a moving traffic violation on Highway 28 in southwestern Sheboygan County. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop for the Deputy and accelerated away, beginning a chase that ended south of Highway 144. That’s where the operator lost control of the vehicle, which left the roadway and rolled over. The driver, a 30-year-old Kewaskum man, was found deceased on the scene and it appears that his was the only vehicle involved. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office was requested to do a thorough investigation, after which more details and the identity of the driver are expected to be released.
