A semi driver lost his life when his vehicle left the road at about 9:30 on Wednesday morning. According to the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office a 36-year-old driving his loaded semi-tractor/trailer for the Algoma Lumber Company was traveling eastbound on County Road “V” about two miles west of Point Beach State Park. Investigators say the truck went off the road and entered the south ditch, causing it to overturn on the roof of the cab. The operator – and lone occupant of the truck – was found dead at the scene.
