A pair of teens has been arrested and charged with the armed robbery of a Manitowoc convenience store. Manitowoc Police say the two, and 18-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl, entered the South 10th Street Kwik Trip at around 9:30 on Monday morning, one of them armed with a knife. The two demanded cash from the register and fled the store after receiving an undetermined amount of money.
Officers responding to the robbery in-progress and searching for suspects were contacted by a witness who observed two subjects hiding behind a business a few blocks from the scene. The Manitowoc Police Canine team located two teens matching the description of the robbery suspects, and took them for questioning to the Manitowoc Police Department. After charges were filed the man was held at the Manitowoc County Jail, while the 16-year-old girl was sent to the Sheboygan County Juvenile Detention Center due to her age. The investigation into the robbery continues.
