The Green Bay Packers re-signed linebacker Eric Wilson to a one year contract over the weekend. Wilson was signed off the New Orleans Saints practice squad last October and made an impact on the special teams. He appeared in 13 games and wound up sharing the team lead in special teams tackles with 13. Veteran Krys Barnes is departing. Barnes made the roster as an undrafted free agent out of UCLA in 2020 and quickly rose to the starting job at inside linebacker, making 23 starts over his first two years. A serious foot injury sidelined him for most of last season and when the Packers drafted Quay Walker in the first round, he wasn’t able to re-claim his spot on the defense. Barnes signed a one year free agent deal with the Arizona Cardinals over the weekend.
