PLYMOUTH, WI (WHBL) – The Plymouth Common Council will meet in a WebEx Conference at 7 PM Tuesday and, among other business, will consider rescinding permits initially approved last month for the Parade of Race Cars & Concourse d’Elegance that was planned for July 24th and 25th. Alderman Bob Schilsky is proposing that move in light of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic – a fact of life that also dominates other business to be taken up during the meeting.
Other items to be considered are sidewalk permits for businesses that wish to operate outside their doors. The proposals include general permits for businesses, and separate Sidewalk Cafe permits that would apply between 6 AM and 10 PM. If approved, businesses operating outside would have to allow at least 5 feet width to ensure ADA accessibility, and the permits would expire November 1st.
The Plymouth Council will also act to authorize remote meetings by the council or committees through April 20th next year, and to authorize the City Administrator – Utility Manager to spend money and hire staff as needed to respond to COVID-related issues.
