SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – Reduced fare tokens and free transfers will become a thing of the past on August 3rd as Sheboygan’s public transit system, Shoreline Metro, makes adjustments for safe operations during…and eventually after…COVID-19.
In announcing the changes on Friday, Director of Shoreline Metro Derek Muench said, “We take customer and employee safety very seriously. It’s important for our customers and employees to feel safe when on board our buses and sometimes, safety includes minimizing exposure to illness.”
Instead of discounted tokens, riders will be offered savings on six-packs of Day Passes, while the elderly, disabled and veterans qualify for a half-fare program.
If you have tokens, you’re being encouraged – but not required – to use them up before changes take effect on August 3rd.
