
Margaret “Margie” Boll, age 94, of Plymouth, WI, passed away on February 12, 2023.
She was born on September 30, 1928 in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Carl and Anna
(Hinterreiter) Hirsch.
She attended Mesmer High School for 3 1/2 years and then graduated from Plymouth High
School with the class of 1946 after her parents became partners in establishing Johnsonville
Meats in 1945. She was married to the late Norbert Boll in 1947 and was also predeceased by her
brother Carl “Charlie” Hirsch and an infant son, Joseph. Marge was a homemaker most of her
life until 1989 when she became a sales clerk at Plymouth Ace Hardware for 16 years before
retiring. Besides her children and grandchildren, her passions included gardening, card nights
with her lady friends, cooking, baking and creating beautiful decorated cakes.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Christian Women’s Society.
She is survived by one son: John (Judy Talvacchia); three daughters: Mary Eischen (Terry), Judy
Schroeder (Don), Cathy Hall (Mark); four grandchildren: Sara, Andrew and Megan Cotter, and
Carrie Curry (Jason); two great-grandchildren: Ryan and John Daniel Curry; and one sister-in-
law: Marilyn Hirsch.
She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday (February 18) at 11:30 AM at St. John the
Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. Father Philip Reifenberg, Pastor of the Church, will
officiate. Mass will be live-streamed and available to watch through the Church website,
www.sjbplymouth.org. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the CHURCH on Saturday (Feb. 18) from 10:00 AM until time of
Mass.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a charity of their choice.
