SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – The Sheboygan Common Council will meet in special session this afternoon to again deal with election problems posed by COVID-19.
During last April’s election, the voting location for wards 16, 17 and 18 had to be relocated because buildings usually employed weren’t able to safely conduct election activities. With no sign that the pandemic will ease in time for the August 11th primary or November 3rd general elections, the issue will once again need the attention of city leaders.
Last spring, polling was moved from First United Lutheran Church to the Sheboygan Police Department.
Today’s special session will take place at 3 PM, and the public will be able to weigh in on the issue before the resolution changing the polling location is put to a vote.
