Allen Michael Habeck, age 69, of Sheboygan, passed away after a brief encounter with cancer on
Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 12, 1953, in
Patuxent River, MD to the late Doris and Arlon Habeck as the third oldest son of six boys. During his
father’s naval career, the family moved to many naval bases. Allen’s family settled in Wausau, WI and
graduated from Wausau East High School. This is where he met Cynthia, his wife of 45 years. Allen
attended NCTI where he received his degree in printing. They moved to Sheboygan for their careers. He
retired from Color Craft Graphic Arts in Manitowoc, WI.
Allen was very gregarious; he enjoyed being with his family and friends. If he could not visit you in
person, he would call to check in. Allen’s bond with his friends was immeasurable. He loved traveling
with Cindy, family, and friends to beautiful beaches around the world and course collecting souvenirs
from everywhere he went. He enjoyed watching Wisconsin baseball and football teams. He never
passed up a chance to throw a line in the water or take a chance at his luck on the slot machines. His
ultimate favorite past time was watching Jeopardy.
Allen is survived by his wife Cynthia; brothers, Jerry (Lanee), Brian (Sue), Russel (Cindy), Roger (Cindy),
and Dennis (Becky); brother-in-law, Mike Smrstick and sisters-in-law, Pam (Terry) Hesse and Laurie
(Dan) Mjelde. Numerous beloved nieces and nephews, more friends than we can count. And his little fur
baby Layla.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents Doris and Arlon and in-laws Irma and Eugene Smrstick.
Cindy and family would like to extend our sincere gratitude for all the excellent treatment from Dr.
Matthews and his staff and to the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice staff who provided quality
home care and the exceptional care from Michelle.
To honor Allen’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Cindy invites you to please celebrate privately
Allen’s memory in your own ways.
