
We are sad to announce the passing of Verlin (Tuck) H. Behnke of Sheboygan, WI on January 12, 2023,
at the age of 83.
Verlin was born to Eugene Behnke and Marian Knickerbocker on March 16, 1939. He was preceded in
death by his brother Eugene (Marge) Behnke, sisters Doreen (Lloyd) Buechel, Delores (John)
Schmeider, Lilas (John) Rosinsky, and his daughter Jenine (Jenny) Behnke Carpenter.
Verlin is survived by his wife of 58 years Janice H. (Greuel) Behnke, daughter Leanne M. Behnke,
grandchildren Valerie Behnke and Caleb Carpenter, siblings Rochelle (Don) Zahorik, Dennis (Joan)
Behnke, and Candice Dvorak, and many nieces and nephews.
He attended Brillion Highschool and graduated from Reedsville Highschool in 1957. Verlin proudly
served in the US Army reserves from 1960-1966. Afterward, he worked at Tecumseh in New Holstein
and later worked and retired from Kohler Company. Verlin had a long-lasting interest in fishing, golfing,
and the Green Bay Packers. He was deeply caring toward his family, friends, and his kind neighbors.
Verlin is known to many as being steadfast, kind, loving, and having a contagious sense of humor.
Verlin and his family enjoyed traveling to many new places and exploring old favorites during his summer
vacations. One of his most memorable being his visit to Cambodia in 2012 along with his daughter Jenny
and grandson Caleb.
Verlin was a devoted Christian who enjoyed singing and listening to inspirational hymns. He was known
to encourage others to come to Christ.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Zimmer Westview Funeral &
Cremation Care Center with Minister Guy Marshall and Minister David Baker officiating. Entombment will
take place on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Greenlawn Memorial Park with Military
Honors. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 1:00 PM until
the time of service at the FUNERAL HOME.

funeral home website site.
