The Bucks led 23-14 after the first quarter, but the Heat outscored the Bucks 94-79 over the next three quarters in a road loss.
Jrue Holiday led the team with 24 points and dished out 11 assists for a double-double. Giannis Antetokounmpo sat out this game, as did Grayson Allen, Khris Middleton, Serge Ibaka and Joe Ingles.
Miami was also short-handed, playing without starters Kyle Lowry, Tyler Herro and Caleb Martin. They were led by Gabe Vincent, who scored a career-best 28 points.
The Bucks dropped to 27-15 and are third in the Eastern Conference.
They’ll stay in Miami for a rematch against the Heat Saturday afternoon.
