Mrs. Jean L. Mueller of Cedar Grove, Wisconsin passed away Sunday, December 25 th , 2022 in Cedar
Grove, WI, she was 83 years old. Jean was born on April 11 th , 1939 in Plymouth, WI. She was the
daughter of Willard Schukow and Gladys Miller. Jean graduated from Oostburg High School in 1957. On
January 24 th , 1959 Jean was united in marriage with Richard Nack at Trinity Lutheran Church in
Sheboygan and they had four children. Richard died December 16 th , 1982. On January 21 st , 1986 Jean
was united in marriage with Elmer Mueller at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church of Sheboygan. Jean worked
for 10 years as a Nurse’s Aide caring for many residents at the Sheboygan Retirement Home. She
especially enjoyed getting together with family for annual summer picnics, Christmas gatherings and
special luncheons with her siblings. In Jean’s younger years she enjoyed fishing in Crivitz, WI. Every
year she arranged for baking and frosting dozens of Christmas cookies with her grandchildren and
hosting holiday gatherings for her family. She enjoyed reading and spending quiet time with her cats.
Jean was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. Jean is survived by her four children: Sherrie Saxon
(Richard), Christine Oelhafen (Ronald), Timothy Nack (Cheryl) and David Nack (Janet); thirteen
grandchildren, Kimberly, Hank, Richie, Rachel, Matthew, Joseph, Jacob, Leigh Ann, Sean, Kyle, Ryan,
Kylie, and Emily; eight great-grandchildren, Alex, Arianna, Adriana, Keagan, Dean, Nadia, Thomas, and
Sophia.
Jean is further survived by Robert (Elaine) Schukow of Sheboygan and Richard (Janice) Schukow of
Elkhart Lake; brother-in-law, Joel Entringer of Random Lake; Doris Nitsche of Fond du Lac, Nancy Froh
of Kohler, Laura O’Keefe and Joyce (Lee) Hacker both of Sheboygan. She is also survived by nieces and
nephews (special godson Derek Schukow) and many friends.
Jean is preceded in death her parents, Willard and Gladys Schukow; stepmother, Beth Schukow; both
husbands, Richard Nack and Elmer Mueller; sister, Shirley Entringer; brother, Leland Schukow; five
brothers-in-law, and five sisters-in-law.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 3 rd , 2023 at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home,1535 S. 12th St.,
Sheboygan, WI 53081, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor James Schulz
officiating.
Jean will be laid to rest in the Wildwood Cemetery on January 4 th , 2023, 518 N. Wildwood Ave,
Sheboygan, WI 53081, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor James Schulz officiating.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sherrie Saxon. Sherrie’s commitment to mom
made it possible for her to stay in the comfort of her home with great care and love. Thank you to the
nurses and CNAs of Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice during their visits to the family home.
