“Prepare for the worst and hope for the best”. That often-used phrase is a good rule of thumb for weather events and with a winter weather advisory in effect for Sheboygan County, we could get a good idea of why.
While we should all prepare for hazardous driving conditions and have the snow shovels and blowers at the ready, it appears that those west of I-43 may be far busier than those in Sheboygan and the rest of the lakeshore. As of early Wednesday morning forecasters projected that Sheboygan and others within a few miles of Lake Michigan could have 2 inches or less of wet, heavy snow by Thursday morning, while places like Plymouth and Random Lake are likely to get more than double that. In the southeast corner of the county around Cedar Grove it could amount to less than an inch.
One thing is certain with this kind of storm, and that’s the kind of uncertainty that gives forecasters a bad reputation. But don’t blame them – weather involves chaos and can change rapidly, so prepare for the worst and hope for the best…and keep up with the forecast.
