Madison Katzenberger, of Monroe, WI has been selected as the 2023 National Hereford Queen. Madison was crowned as National Hereford Queen on October 23, at the American Royal Livestock Show in Kansas City, MO.
As the National Hereford Queen, Madison is a spokeswoman for the Hereford breed, cattle producers, industry representatives, and the American Hereford Association. Madison will represent the Hereford cattle industry at shows, sales, and events across the United States.
The National Hereford Queen program is sponsored through the American Hereford Association, by the National Hereford Women organization. The National Hereford Queen program began in 1955. Madison is the third National Hereford Queen from Wisconsin. She joins Annah Dobson (2017) and Katy Beckett (1989) in receiving the honor of being selected as the National Hereford Queen.
Madison and her family raise Hereford cattle at their farm, Plum River Ranch, at Monroe, WI. Madison is currently serving as the 2022 Wisconsin Hereford Queen and is the 2022 President of the Wisconsin Junior Hereford Association. Madison is the daughter of Wisconsin Hereford Association members Eric and Rosie Katzenberger. Madison’s grandparents, Nick and Lenore Katzenberger, are also Wisconsin Hereford Association members.
