With the busy holiday season now in full swing, pet owners in the City of Sheboygan are being reminded not to forget about licensing their pets, including dogs, cats and potbellied pigs for 2023. Annual licenses sold by the Sheboygan Police Department are now available.
With a month to go, you’ll want to check first that your pet has a current certificate of rabies vaccination from a licensed veterinarian. Then take that along with the appropriate fees to the cashier at the Police Department Headquarters on North 23rd Street. The application can be printed in advance if you like or can be filled out on-site. There are also options to register them by mail.
It’s a simple process for the average pet owner but if you own more than three animals, you’ll also need an animal fancier’s permit. Those licenses are then good for all of 2023.
Prices and other information are available online with the Sheboygan Police Department.
