Ralph “Bud” H. Voskuil, 93, of Cedar Grove, went Home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Cedar Grove Gardens.
Bud was born on June 11, 1929, to Bernhardt and Anna (Walvoord) Voskuil. He graduated from Cedar Grove High School in 1947. On June 16, 1950, Bud married Margaret Wynveen at Calvary OPC in Cedar Grove. He went on to serve his country in the US Army.
Bud was a lifelong member of Calvary OPC in Cedar Grove, where he served as elder and deacon. He served on the Cedar Grove Village Board, Cedar Grove Kiwanis, and was a longtime member of the Cedar Grove American Legion VanDeJagt-DeBruine Post 338 and recently of the Oostburg American Legion Hartman-Lammers Post 286. Bud served the Cedar Grove community as co-owner of the Shell Service Station for 40 years, providing auto service, a filling station, and used car sales.
Bud enjoyed hunting, camping, traveling, and bowling. He was an avid Wisconsin sports fan, following the Brewers, Packers, and Badgers. More than anything, he loved watching his grandchildren in all events they participated in and spending time with his family.
Bud is survived by his daughter, Ann Coyne of Waunakee, WI; four sons, Scott (Merry) of Hot Springs Village, AR, Todd (Darlene) of Waxhaw, NC, Terry (Lori) of Cedar Grove, WI, Brent (Jacki) of Cedar Grove; 10 grandchildren, Nicole (Mike), Jordan (Dolapo), Joshua, Ryan (Barron), Angela (fiancé Ben), Jessica, Justin, Caleb, Ashley, Matthew; 5 great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Roe, John, Charlie, Margaret “Maggie.” He is further survived by his sister-in-law, Audrey Kaland; sister-in-law, Karen Wynveen; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Bud was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Margaret; parents; son-in-law, Mark Coyne; sister, Annette (Peter) Hendrikse; infant sister; brother, Carl (Pearl) Voskuil; and brothers-in-law, LaMont Kaland and Roger Wynveen.
A funeral service to celebrate Bud’s life will be held at Calvary OPC in Cedar Grove on Monday, November 28, 2022, at 11:00am.
Relatives and friends may greet the family at Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Sunday, November 27 from 1:00-4:00pm and again at church on Monday, one hour prior to service.
A memorial fund has been established in Bud’s name.
