John Clifford “Jack” Bowser passed away peacefully at his home on November 8, 2022.
He was born in Oshkosh to Matthew and Mae (Hill) Bowser on November 13, 1929.
He attended St. Clement Catholic Grade School and was a graduate of Central High School.
Jack enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1948 and later transitioned to a reservist until 1953.
On October 14, 1950 he was united in Holy Matrimony at St. Dominic Catholic Church to LaVerne Klein. Together they raised 8 children in homes filled with fun, laughter and singing.

After a career in sales at Badger Paint, Tile World and The Sheboygan Press, he retired early to his newly found passion of golf. He joined Riverdale Golf Club and was a “Legend” for 36 years. He golfed his last 9 holes on May 13th at age 92.
Jack was a generous man who would do whatever he could to help make others’ lives a little easier. He had a terrific sense of humor, laugh and a whistle that accompanied him everywhere.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jack Rakun; four brothers, Matt, Joe, Jerry and Jimmy and one sister, Patty Gibson.

Special thank you to the caregivers at Sharon Richardson Hospice for your guidance and compassion.
It sad to read on the passing of Jack as he was one of a kind and a friend to all that had the pleasure of knowing him. I enjoyed golfing with Jack for many years at Riverdale C.C. including the Legends of Riverdale. My thoughts and prayers go out to Jack’s family and friends at this sad time.
