Frederick Kulow Sr.

Frederick J. Kulow Sr., age 97, of Plymouth, WI, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2022 at Pine
Haven Nursing Home in Sheboygan Falls.
He was born on November 12, 1924 in Sheboygan, a son of the late Raymond Sr. and Edna (Binder)
Kulow, and attended Elkhart Lake schools.
Fred worked as a bus driver for the Plymouth School District, Wentland Painting, K Craine Co. in
Milwaukee, Heart Carder in New Holstein, Schmidt Trucking, Lemahieu Flooring, Gilson/Toro, and Ace
Hardware in Plymouth.
On June 28, 1975, he married Carolyn Diesner in Elkhart Lake.
He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth, Eastern WI Stock Car Racing Association,
and Elkhart Lake Snow Rangers. Fred also bowled in the men’s leagues and couples leagues at Anchor
Lanes and Bil-Mar Lanes.
Fred enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife: Carolyn, 12 children: Fred Jr. (Jorja) of Plymouth, Sandra Buss of Plymouth,
Linda (Ed) Niedfeldt of Plymouth, Dick (Kay) of Elkhart Lake, Ken (Deb) of Plymouth, Paul of Kiel, Gary of
Plymouth, Deb (Mike) Eder of Plymouth, Chuck (Barb) of Sheboygan, Rick of Sheboygan Falls, Chris (Jeff)
Mueller of Sheboygan Falls, and Cindy Betker of Kiel; 29 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; Two
brothers: Gerald (Cathy) of Elkhart Lake and Donald Sr. of Plymouth; As well as many nieces, nephews,
other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sons-in-law: Tony Dobilas and Scott Betker; grandson, Tyler
Buell; siblings: Ray Jr. (Freida), Lucille (Don) VonRotz, Caroline (Fred) Limberg, and Evelyn (Melvin) Dirks;
and sister-in-law: Erna Kulow.
Visitation will be held on Thursday (November 10 th ) at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth from 10:00
AM – 12:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM. Rev. John Schultz, Pastor of St. John
Lutheran Church, will officiate. Entombment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park in the Town of
Sheboygan.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Fred’s name.
