(WHBL) – Group camping for groups of 50 or less will again be allowed in State Parks beginning on Monday, July 13th. The Wisconsin DNR made that change – and others – as steps to manage the coronavirus pandemic have been advanced.
Those wishing to use the group campgrounds will need reservations in advance, and any shelter, amphitheater or group camping reservations that were made up through July 12th will be canceled and refunded. If you made a reservation that went beyond the 13th, it will be automatically adjusted to begin that day.
Other changes made by the DNR include the sale of firewood at select state parks, limited special events for up to 50 people will be OK, and you’ll now be able to use open-air shelters without making reservations as long as capacity limits and social distancing are observed.
