The Sheboygan Police Department is declaring the collections of unused and unwanted drugs a success in 2022.
This past Saturday’s National Drug Take-Back Day saw 426 pounds of medications collected in four locations across Sheboygan County, and along with the spring collection and ongoing deposits in permanent drop boxes, a total of 3,155 pounds has been taken out of circulation and properly disposed of to keep them out of landfills and the environment.
Those who missed the collection on Saturday may make use of the permanent drop box in the vestibule of the Sheboygan Police Headquarters on North 23rd Street, or in the lobby of the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office on North 6th Street.
