SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – As we close the month of June – the 4th month under the coronavirus pandemic – the daily update from the Sheboygan County Division of Health Services reported no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 since yesterday; 5 recoveries, 22 active cases and no hospitalizations from the disease. 627 persons in Sheboygan County have received negative test results since Monday. The county total now rests at 209 confirmed cases, while the state number was up by 601 – a new daily high – to a total of 28,659 cases.
Within the Wisconsin statistics, the percent of positive test returns was down once again, having peaked at 7.1% on Sunday, and from yesterday’s 5.3% down to today’s 4.7% of total tests. 12,180 persons received the good news of negative test results in the last 24 hours. Deaths, after being static for three days, now ticked up by 7 to a toll of 784.
Within today’s update from County DHS, it was announced that Aurora Children’s Health Office is once again open from Noon till 1 PM for well-child visits or non-acute illness appointments. No walk-ins will be allowed. Evening hours for non-acute illness appointments and well child visits have resumed as well. The afternoon hours – between 2:30 and 5:30 – are reserved for acute illness appointments with the on-call pediatrician. Acute illness appointments are also being made for Saturday morning, and Sunday 9 AM till 12 noon appointments. For the time being, pediatricians at Aurora Children’s Health will encourage long-term or chronic problem visits to be done via video visit.
