SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – The Sheboygan Board of Police and Fire Commissioners today will continue the job of finding an interim Police Chief as well as a permanent replacement for the position. Current Chief Christopher Domagalski is expected to step down in the next several days to take a position with the Milwaukee Police Department.
Last week interviews were held with candidates for the interim chief position but no action was taken. The Commissioners will meet at 3 o’clock Tuesday afternoon and move to closed session to get an update on Chief Domagalski’s letter of resignation and to go over the interviews conducted with the interim chief candidates. While in closed session, candidates for firefighter/paramedics will also be selected for interviews.
The agenda leaves open the possibility of action on the interim Police Chief position when reconvening in open session before the close of the meeting.
