MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The St. Louis Cardinals clinched the National League Central Division title with a 6-2 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday night at American Family Field.
The Cardinals went up 6-0 before the Brewers scored single runs in the 6th and 7th but that was all they could manage on six hits.
Rowdy Tellez and Garrett Mitchell had the RBIs. Adrian Houser started and took the loss, giving up three runs on three hits and four walks. He exited with a groin injury in the 4th inning.
The Phillies also lost so Milwaukee remains 1 1/2 games behind in the wild card chase.
The Brewers and Cardinals wrap up their series Wednesday night with pregame coverage on WHBL beginning at 6:05.
