MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – Christian Yelich and Kolten Wong launched home runs as the Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Chicago Cubs 9-7 at American Family Field on Sunday.
Yelich had a two-run homer in the fourth inning and Wong followed it with a two-run bomb in the fifth.
Eric Lauer collected his 10th win after allowing four runs over five frames. Devin Williams picked up his ninth save for Milwaukee, which improved to 67-59.
Sean Newcomb suffered the loss in relief for Chicago, which fell to 55-73.
The Brewers will now host the Pittsburgh Pirates for a three game series beginning Monday night. Pregame coverage on WHBL begins at 6:35.
