Within Sheboygan County, the demographic breakdown of COVID-19 puts the most weight upon those ages 20-39, with 67 of the 190 confirmed cases. Those ages 40-59 experienced 55 instances of the disease, while 40 cases occurred within the 60-79 age group. 19 were under age 20, and 9 were over age 80.
The coronavirus responsible for COVID-19 disease remains in a state of global pandemic and, with few exceptions, remains a threat in most countries. This is the case here in Sheboygan County as well, and even though the Sheboygan County Safe Restart Plan is in its first phase of reopening the local economy, its success depends upon people following guidelines that urge:
- Limit interactions with others as much as possible.
- Stay at home unless necessary.
- Limit trips to the essentials.
- The best way to interact with friends, family and neighbors is virtually.
- When in public, practice physical distancing by standing at least 6 feet form the nearest person, and
- When physical distancing is difficult, wear a cloth face covering.
