For anyone looking for affordable housing these days, it’s not easy to find the right rental. And once found, then the landlord needs to be convinced that the tenant is responsible before an agreement can be signed. Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Sheboygan is offering a program that could tip the odds in the prospective renter’s favor.
The “Rent Smart” tenant training class is being held next Wednesday, August 24th from 4 until 6 p.m. at the Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce building on South 8th Street. The goal is to teach participants how to be knowledgeable tenants, whether they’re currently renting, or are considering renting in the future. Those who participate will leave with a certificate when the class concludes.
The program is free, thanks to a Community Development Block Grant from the City of Sheboygan, and those who want to take the class need to sign up by noon this coming Monday, August 22nd. To do that, contact Consumer Credit Counseling Service at 800-350-CCCS (2227).
