MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers rallied and topped the Tampa Bay Rays 4-3 in walk-off fashion in 10 innings Wednesday at American Family Field.
Rowdy Tellez tied the game with a solo homer in the 9th inning and Willy Adames singled in the game winner in the 10th as the Crew completed a sweep in the two-game series.
The Brewers also got some good defense in the 10th as Tellez threw out a runner at 3rd base and Victor Caratini threw out a base-stealer to help preserve the tie.
Mike Brosseau and Keston Hiura had RBIs in the first inning for Milwaukee.
Devin Williams picked up the win with a scoreless 10th inning. Brandon Woodruff started and went seven innings, giving up three runs on four hits.
The Brewers have an off day on Thursday and head to St. Louis for a big three game series this weekend.
