PITTSBURGH, PA (WHBL) – Brian Reynolds hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning off Devin Williams as the Pittsburgh Pirates rallied for an 8-7 win over the Milwaukee Brewers Wednesday night at PNC Park.
Williams had not allowed a run in his last 30 outings.
Freddy Peralta started for Milwaukee and went 3.2 innings, giving up two runs with 3 strikeouts in his first game back off the injured list. Jake McGee and newly acquired Matt Bush each gave up two runs in the middle innings and Brent Suter gave up a home run to Oneil Cruz.
Willy Adames had four RBIs for Milwaukee. Rowdy Tellez drove in two and Kolten Wong had an RBI.
Milwaukee is now 57-47 and lead St. Louis by a game and a half in the NL Central.
The Crew will try to avoid getting swept as they’ll wrap up their series with the Pirates Thursday afternoon. Pregame coverage on WHBL begins at 11am.
