A 48-year-old man has died, and the Sheboygan woman driving the car in which he was riding has been identified.
33-year-old Amanda Hall of Sheboygan is awaiting formal charges in Calumet County as the accident investigation continues.
The Calumet County Sheriff said that Hall’s car left County Highway”A” north of Foundry Road, rolled over and caught fire shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Monday. Emergency responders quickly removed 48-year-old Steven Robinson of New Holstein from the burning vehicle and performed life-saving measures at the scene, but he eventually passed away from his injuries on Wednesday.
Hall was not injured, and another passenger, 32-year-old Rory Hunn of Kiel was treated at a local hospital for his injuries and released. Alcohol and speed are believed to be contributing factors to the accident.
