SAN FRANCISCO, CA (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers limp into the All-Star break with another loss. The Giants beat Milwaukee 9-5 on Sunday afternoon in San Francisco.
The Giants jumped on Brewers starter Aaron Ashby and reliever Jason Alexander for seven runs in the first three innings. They added another two in the 6th inning.
Willy Adames homered in the first inning for Milwaukee. The Brewers got two in the 7th on a Hunter Renfroe double and two more in the 8th with a Rowdy Tellez homer but it wasn’t enough.
Milwaukee heads into the break at 50-43, a half game up on the Cardinals for the Central Division lead.
The Crew returns to action Friday beginning a four game series with Colorado at American Family Field.
