MINNEAPOLIS, MN (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers scored three runs in the top of the fifth in a 6-3 win over the Twins in Minnesota on Tuesday night.
Jonathan Davis began the inning with an RBI single, which broke a 2-2 tie before Willy Adames launched a two-run home run. Andrew McCutchen also went deep in the victory.
Jandel Gustave earned his second win relief while Josh Hader tossed a scoreless ninth to pick up his 27th save.
Jorge Polanco homered in the losing effort for Minnesota. Josh Winder gave up five runs in five innings to get charged with the loss.
Milwaukee leads the NL Central by two games with a 49-39 mark.
The Brewers and Twins will wrap up their series Wednesday afternoon with pregame coverage on WHBL beginning at 11:35.
