MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers only managed five hits in an 8-3 loss to the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday night at American Family Field.
The Brewers took a 2-0 lead in the first inning on a Rowdy Tellez home run but didn’t score again until the 9th inning. Victor Caratini had the other RBI.
The Cubs scored eight runs over the 4th, 5th & 6th innings.
Milwaukee had a chance to get back in the game in the 6th when they loaded the bases with nobody out, but Cubs reliever Rowan Wick got Luis Urias to line out and Jace Peterson to ground into a double play.
The Brewers will send Corbin Burnes to the mound Wednesday afternoon as the two teams wrap up their three-game series. Pregame coverage on WHBL begins at 12:35.
