The legal fight in Wisconsin court over a new Kohler golf course near Kohler-Andrae State Park has ended.
The Wisconsin Supreme Court yesterday sided with Kohler in a long-standing dispute over a land swap that, according to Kohler, is needed in order to bring a world class golf course to the Sheboygan area. The land swap would give Kohler about five acres of Kohler Andrae State Park land in exchange for ten acres just west of the park.
The Court said in its ruling that the environmental group that was suing, Friends of the Black River Forest, has no legal standing to sue and never proved any real harm.
The group says the ruling will hurt other citizens who want to protect the environment and keep the power of state agencies in check.
