Sheboygan County’s District Attorney say he will prosecute doctors who continue to provide abortions in the state.
District Attorney Joel Urmanski said this week that he will enforce the state’s near-total ban on abortions. Sheboygan is one of three communities in Wisconsin where abortions were provided. In the other cities, Milwaukee and Madison, prosecutors have promised not to enforce the law.
Urmanski says he is a prosecutor not a lawmaker, and says it’s his job to enforce the law, not decide what the law should be.
