William “Nick” Kaen, 36, of Plymouth passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, May 22, 2022.
Nick was born on April 25, 1986 in Marshfield a son to Jeffrey and Patricia (Gayhart) Kaen. He attended
schools in Punta Gorda, FL and later came to the Plymouth area with his family. He had been employed
with various businesses in the Plymouth area, most recently CertainTeed. Nick greatly enjoyed fishing
especially while he lived in Florida. He was the favorite uncle of his nieces and nephews.
Nick is survived by his mother, Patricia Kaen of Plymouth; his father, Jeffrey Kaen of Manitowoc; his
sisters, Bonnie Palon of Plymouth, Melissa (Kevin) Ross of Rockton, IL and his brother, Richard Emerson
(Nicole Mattox) of Plymouth. Nick’s nieces and nephews, Christopher Mattox, JB Morreale, Cole
Emerson, Sammi Emerson, Sara Emerson, Sadie Tran, Brittany Ross and Samantha Ross also survive.
Other family and friends further survive. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal
grandparents.
A Memorial Service for Nick will be held, at 3 pm Saturday, June 4 at Wittkopp Funeral and Cremation
Service, 123 South Street Plymouth with Nick’s uncle, Larry Gayhart officiating. Family and friends may
gather at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 pm until the time of service at 3 pm.
