BOSTON, MA (WHBL) – Poor three-point shooting doomed the Milwaukee Bucks as the Boston Celtics pulled away in the second half and cruised to a 109-81 win in Game Seven of their Eastern Conference Semifinal series on Sunday.
Giannis Antetokounmpo appeared to be on track for another monster game with ten points in the first quarter but finished the game with just 25 along with 20 rebounds and nine assists. He also had an off night in the paint, going just 3 for 11 from close range in the second half and hitting just one layup in the fourth. Jrue Holiday added 21 while Brook Lopez scored 15.
Boston was led by Grant Williams’ 27 points – a career-high for him – and 23 from Jayson Tatum.
The Celtics nearly doubled up the Bucks in the fourth quarter, outscoring them 30-17.
Milwaukee shot just 4 of 33 from long-range (12.1%), the second-worst three-point shooting performance in a playoff game ever (minimum 30 attempts).
Boston advances to the East Finals to take on Miami.
