Wayne H. Richardson, age 86, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2022, at Sharon S.
Richardson Community Hospice where he was surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Milwaukee on January 20, 1936, a son of the late George and Thelma (Halstead)
Richardson, and graduated from West Division High School in Milwaukee.
Following high school, Wayne served in the United States Army – Medical Corps from 1954-1957. While
stationed in Germany, he met the love of his life, Anni Lesmeister. They were married in Germany on
May 27, 1957.
After returning to the US, they lived in Milwaukee and Wayne worked at American Motors. They later
moved to Rural Elkhart Lake and Wayne began working at A&P Cheese Company and also owned a
tavern in Batavia for a few years called Richie’s Inn. Wayne and Anni moved to Nebraska where they
owned and operated a motel for 4 years before moving back to Wisconsin. Wayne then held various
jobs over the years, working at Memorial Hospital, The American Club, and helped children with
disabilities.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, going up north, watching World War II movies, and spending time
with his family.
Survivors include: Wife: Anni; Three children: Connie (David) Kaderabek of Sheboygan, Pam (Ike) Peter
of Cascade, and David Richardson of Sheboygan; Five grandchildren: Crystal (Mike) Gries, Mandy (Rob)
DeVerney, Bryton (Megan) Walsh, Amber Richardson (Fiance: Jason Grosenick), and Logan Richardson
(fiancée: Maegan Maevers); Eight great-grandchildren: Garrett, Austin, Sophia, Gabriel, Tristin, Marley,
Taylor, and Flynn; Brother-in-law: Thomas Lesmeister of Germany; as well as nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends.
Wayne was preceded in death by: His parents; Grandson: Gabriel Peter; One sister: Sandy (Frank) Alioto;
and Three brothers: Clair (Joanna), Clyde, and Dennis Richardson.
Private family services will be held and inurnment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Sheboygan.
