The number of active cases of COVID-19 in Sheboygan County confirmed by the Division of Public Health has doubled within the past two weeks, going from 78 cases on April 13th to 155 cases today, April 27th. That’s the highest number since 160 cases confirmed on March 15th.
33 of the total 29,598 cases were confirmed in the last day. Countered by only 16 recoveries, the active case count grew by 17. On Tuesday the 26th, Sheboygan County’s 7-day average of new confirmed COVID-19 cases was 13, trending upwards.
Of the 1,215 persons having ever been hospitalized in Sheboygan County for COVID-19, three are listed as current patients. That’s up one from yesterday.
Two persons have received their first vaccine dose since Tuesday, raising the total to72,617, or 63.0% of the county. Seven persons received their 2nd dose, with 69,742 total, or 60.5% having the same. Twelve received their boosters, putting that total at 38,274, or 33.2%.
