In the last month’s time, the COVID-19 pandemic in Sheboygan County dropped below 100 active cases and waned to a new 2022 low, and then rebounded to exceed the initial level. On March 22, 2022, there were 95 active cases of COVID-19, down from an even 100 the day previous. By Friday, April 22, there were 116 active cases, the most since 121 noted on March 18th.
On Friday 18 new positive tests were confirmed and, along with eight recoveries, the active case count rose by 10. 29,505 total pandemic cases have been recorded here. The 7-day average of daily new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Sheboygan County was 8, up a point from Thursday.
There was one new hospital admission since Thursday, the sole patient now hospitalized for COVID-19 out of a total of 1,215 ever admitted.
63.0% of the county population has received at least one shot of vaccine, amounting to 72,613 persons, 17 more than yesterday. 60.5%, or 69,727, have received both doses…an increase of 19 in the last day…and 33.2% or 38,233, have received boosters. That’s a gain of 18.
