Kenneth Ten Haken, 94, Cedar Grove, passed away on April 21, 2022, at Pine Haven Christian
Communities-Oostburg Campus where he recently moved.
Ken was born on September 5, 1927, to Walter & Edna (Bruggink) Ten Haken. He was a
graduate of Oostburg High School. On June 24, 1949, Ken married Mariam “Mary” A. Huenink in
Cedar Grove. Mary proceeded Ken in death in September 1996. Ken worked a long career at
Musebeck Shoe Company where he retired as Superintendent.
Ken enjoyed gardening, fishing, golfing, bowling, playing baseball in his younger years, watching
the Brewers & Packers, attending family sporting events, and getting together with his card
club. Ken was an active member at his church, volunteered in leadership at the Presbyterian
Cemetery, Kiwanis Club, Pine Haven Christian Communities, and many other opportunities to
help serve others and his community. Ken was an easy going, kind, patient, and compassionate
man and will be dearly missed and forever cherished.
A funeral service to honor Ken’s life will take place at First Evangelical Presbyterian Church of
Cedar Grove on Wednesday, April 27 th , at 12:00 pm. A visitation will take place at the church
from 10:30 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm. Burial will take place at the Presbyterian
Cemetery.

Ken is survived by his three children; Lynn (Wayne) Olsen, Joan (Gary) Dunn, John (Julie) Ten
Haken, son-in-law, Edward Paddeck; grandchildren, Shelly (Jason) Kadow, Nicholas (Amy)
Binsfeld, Amber (Chad) Aiken, Tasha (John) Chassin, Eric (Emily) Dunn, Adam Dunn, Alex Ten
Haken, Anna (Austin) Buelow, and Amy Ten Haken; seven great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Carter,
Logan, Teagan, Hudson, Jaxson, and Nora; and two sisters, Marjorie (Norman) Mulder, Carol
(Roger) Prinsen. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Ken is preceded in death by his wife, Mariam “Mary” Ten Haken; daughter, Bonnie Paddeck,
sisters-in-law, Jurean (Connie) VanSluys, Arlene (LaMont) Daane; brother-in-law, Orville (Doris,
Dien) Huenink.
Memorial contributions can be made in his name for First Evangelical Presbyterian Church of
Cedar Grove or Pine Haven Christian Communities.
