(WHBL) – A Green Bay bus driver is out of a job after admitting to drinking a beer during a school field trip.
School leaders sent a note home to parents at Lincoln Elementary School explaining that a student spied an empty beer can under the driver’s seat as they were coming back from a field trip to Madison on Monday. The letter says there’s no indication that the driver was drunk.
He was fired by the bus company, which says it has a zero tolerance policy for alcohol. The driver’s name hasn’t been released.
None of the kids on the bus were hurt during the trip.
