
Karen L. Wollner, 75, of Waldo, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 15, 2022, at her
home with surrounded by her loved ones.
Karen was born on November 5, 1946, in Milwaukee, daughter of Robert and Elaine
(Schober) Shoemaker. She was a 1964 graduate of Grafton High School and received
her associates degree from Moraine Park. On December 5, 1964, she married Roy
Wollner in Milwaukee. Roy preceded her in death on December 23, 2019. Karen was
employed in office management for Sandmasters.
Karen was a member of Christian Life Church in Plymouth, where she was active in adult
classes. She enjoyed board games, card playing, antiquing, politics, fishing, canoeing,
camping, sewing, crocheting, reading, music, flowers, gardening, and quilting.
Karen is survived by three sons, Michael (Kim) Wollner, Matthew (Claire) Wollner, and
Mitchel (Tammy) Wollner; twelve grandchildren, Brandon (Samantha), Kevin, Emily,
Elysea (fiancé, Aaron), Lindsay, Kaitlyn, Annika, Michaela, David, Sarah, Luke, and Josiah;
great-granddaughter, Kinsley; sister, Mary Paylor; brother-in-law, Bob Runge.
Karen was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Roy, her parents; sister,
Annette Runge, brother-in-law, Donald Paylor.
A funeral service to celebrate Karen's life will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022, at
Christian Life Church in Plymouth with Pastor Rich York officiating. Relatives and friends
may greet the family at the church on Friday from 1:00 pm until the time of service at
3:00 pm. A burial will take place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Parnell.
